I absolutely love the Bucilla stocking kits I have completed 4. I am working on two more right now. 8 years ago I made two that now hang on the mantel every Christmas for my 8 year old twins. They love there stockings that mom made and will have them forever even when I am not here, and they will know how much I love them. Thanks Bucilla for being apart of our priceless Christmas memories.

I love the stocking kits! My mother actually made one for me when I was a baby and so I’ve continued the tradition- my son has one and I’m just about finished with one I started for my husband… Will get it done in time I hope! I also have 2 purchased for my dogs- haven’t had a chance to start those yet though!

  • Alexis Astorina November 28, 2011, 10:11 am

I would love to win this! I have been making these stocking kits for 10 years now and they are the best!!

  • Shauna November 28, 2011, 10:17 am

I am so excited about this contest and would LOVE to win this stocking kit!! I have only started one stocking kit, but look forward to making many more for my family so we all have matching style stockings! Thanks for all you do Bucilla!

  • Alexis Astorina November 28, 2011, 10:17 am

Oh, I guess I didn’t mention that I have completed a total of 11 stockings in the 10 years Ive been making them. I like that the directions are so clear, and that the felt is marked so it’s faster to cut it out. I am also in the middle of making one of Bucilla’s advent calendars this year. The kits are the best when it comes to their quality. I have found that they are better then other brands!

  • Sheila November 28, 2011, 10:28 am

I made my first stocking 38 years ago for my daughter’s first Christmas. It was red velvet with fuzzy deer heads and snowflakes on it. I have made many more in the years between for babies, family and a few friends. Last year I made my daughter her second one as the first was looking rather worn! I love the kits, they are a unique gift for anyone you care about. I love working them. I can think of the person to whom they will be given and pray for them as I sew. And they are absolutely beautiful.

  • Ruth Sopata November 28, 2011, 10:29 am

The first Bucilla Christmas stocking I made was in 1969. I was expecting our first born and it was a project I worked on while awaiting his arrival. I made one for his son in 2005. They hang by the fireplace every year. This year I am working on one for the newest addition to his family. I love making them for all the grandchildren. It has become a tradition from Grandma.

  • Loralie November 28, 2011, 10:32 am

Just finished Cupcakes Angel for my granddaughter. It is so beautiful!

  • Laura November 28, 2011, 10:34 am

I have twin grandchildren and have one stocking done and now I am going to have another set from my other daughter and that means I have three to make and then I have another granddaughter who is five and bought her a needlepoint one years ago and it’s just not the same with the love you feel when you put on every sequin.

  • J Kincheloe November 28, 2011, 11:03 am

For 10 years I have been making these christmas stockings for family and friends – lot of fun making them and greatly appreciated by recipients – make wonderful gifts. I have made 20 so far and busy working on one as a Christmas gift. They are treasured by my family and friends who appreciate the work that goes into it.

  • Noemi Fores November 28, 2011, 11:13 am

Bucilla is synonymous of quality and spectacular felt applique kits.
You can create a master piece for Christmas celebration with Bucilla Christmas Stocking Kits. I sent to my mother-in-law in Puerto Rico a Gingerbread House Kit. The kit has tri-lingual instructions making it easier and fun! Thank you Bucilla.
Gracias Bucilla!

  • Shelly Filippi November 28, 2011, 11:19 am

  • rebecca godwin November 28, 2011, 11:29 am

I have never made one myself, but I have an 11 month old and I wanted to make him a stocking last year. I was due December 6th, and he was born December 10th. A stocking did not get made last year, but I will be making him his stocking this year.

  • Becky Moreno November 28, 2011, 11:53 am

Oh, These are the stockings my grandmother made for all of us when we were little! I would love to make some for my kids!

  • Pat Blair November 28, 2011, 12:00 pm

I am now working on number 15 of your felt stockings I have also made one wall hanging and a huge Santa . I started when my 3 grand daughters were three, 15 years ago, and have been making them every since. This year alone I have made three and will be finishing number four within the next couple of days..
The golf Santa came at an perfect time since my husband had just got a “Hole in one”so he now has a stocking to remember it.
I am now using the Golf Santa to make a stocking for a mailman. Changing a couple things and it will be perfect.
I always look forward to the “New” stocking every year, and as a results have about twelve in reserve for my next projects.
I get so much pleasure presenting your stockings as gifts, and the recipients joy makes it more so.

  • Joyce lobiondo November 28, 2011, 12:11 pm

I have been making the stockings for 30 years. we have 12 done and we have 2 tree skirts. I think the stockings are outstanding. When they are hanking the stockings stand out. Joyce

  • Rhonda Carroll November 28, 2011, 12:15 pm

I have completed 6 of the Bucilla Felt Stocking Kits. I love the durability of the felt and the wonderful designs. I also line all of my stockings and add additional embellishments. They seem to be a big hit! Nothing sparkles like a Bucilla Felt Stocking! 🙂

  • Alicia Hanson November 28, 2011, 12:20 pm

I love these stockings! My mom made all of us a Bucilla stocking when we were babies. They still get hung up every year for Christmas. Everyone in the family has one, including my parents. I wanted to keep the tradition going when I got married and started a family of my own. I made my brother’s wife a stocking of Santa reading a book to an angel. I made my ex-husband a stocking of Santa and his reindeer flying in the sky. Then I made the sugar plum fairy for myself and the blue snowman for my ex-husband when we got married. My brother and his wife recently had a son, and I made him the Santa bear stocking to have at my parents’ house. I just had my son less than a week ago, and I’m still trying to decide what stocking to make him. I just love how pretty and original they are compared to the ones you get at the store already made!

  • Larissa November 28, 2011, 12:31 pm

I absolutely love the stockings. I have completed 3 and am working on 2 more. My kids love them and I am sure my granddaughters will also. They are a great heirloom gift that my kids and grandkids will cherish.

  • Lori Feghali November 28, 2011, 2:15 pm

I love Bucilla Stocking Kits. I use to do a lot of them a few years ago, then I couldn’t find them anywhere. I finally was able to locate a few last year and finished two of them. I am hoping to finish the third on before Christmas, wish me luck!!! They are so beautiful and fun to do, I am trying to teach my 12 year old daughter, she is doing a fantastic job. I did my first job for six months and I confess I loved the result. It’s a toilet kit that is already gracing my house. Only I do not have here in Brazil Bucilla kits for sale.
I would like to show pictures of my embroidery, but do not know how to do it.

  • Maria November 28, 2011, 3:07 pm

My mom made my two brothers and I stockings before we were born. When I was little I would die waiting to put up my ragged Anne and Andy Christmas stocking. Then made the Christmas calendar for us as well. I have continue the tradition by making another Christmas calender and soon a stocking for my husband. I would love to continue the bucilla Christmas stocking tradition in my family .

  • Lori Kreutzer November 28, 2011, 3:20 pm

I love the beautiful designs of Bucilla stockings. Currently I’m working on a vintage kit from 1997 of a Tiffany Nativity, and I can’t wait to finish it. Years ago I made a stocking for my daughter which we still hang each and every year. Bucilla has a quality like no other, and I look forward to making many more stockings to give as gifts throughout my lifetime.

  • Ashley Parker November 28, 2011, 5:10 pm

My sisters and I all had a Bucilla stocking for Christmas! Now I am starting that tradition with my family. I just completed our 1st child’s stocking! I love all the festive designs that Bucilla Stockings come in. Especially all the other new craft kits that I am discovering, they are all fantastic!!!

  • Jennifer November 28, 2011, 5:33 pm

i love these kits!! they are so cute & i love how they can be personalized! my grandmother started this tradition for us in the 70’s & i am trying to carry on the tradition! i’m on # 4 now 🙂

  • Karen Whitley November 28, 2011, 5:44 pm

It all started when my mother made me and my three siblings a Bucilla Christmas stocking when we were born, in the 1980s. Over the years we have expanded our family and have had requests from friends who have seen our stockings and want one for their own family. I began to help my mother sew these stockings when I was young, and now we sew everyone one of them together with a system we have created. We are now up to 32 Bucilla stockings (as we finish off two we are working on right now). Bucilla is the BEST! We have tried two other brands before, and the quality on both was terrible. With Bucilla you know that you are getting a quality stocking that will last. The colors are beautiful, the felt strong, and you always get enough sequins, beads, and thread to actually finish the stocking. When someone asks for a stocking, we tell them to only look at Bucilla, because if we are going to have one, you should have the best.

  • Laraine November 28, 2011, 5:47 pm

My sister in law made stockings for both of my children. I was so touched that I learned to embroider so that I might make them for my own nieces! Since then, I have made two of the Santa HO HO HO stockings, and am currently doing the beautiful stocking with the two cardinals. This Christmas, I am giving myself a gift. I am making the “12 days of Christmas” ornament kit. I think they’ll be a lovely addition to my tree, and will give me something handmade to pass on to my own children. I am considering who will get a Bucilla stocking from me next year!

  • Marie Joe November 28, 2011, 8:07 pm

I have enjoyed making the Bucilla Christmas stocking for the last 15 years for my grandchildren..and if I say I look forward making them each year, the grandchildren will definitely agree. I just finished the stocking with Santa watching a football game (LSU, of course, with the football player in the LSU football outfit). It is so-o cute.

  • Robin Edge November 28, 2011, 8:45 pm

I have made these stockings for my kids and my best friends 6 kids. They become family keepsakes. I love them and would love to start a new one for my grandson who is just 5 months old.

  • Lindsey November 28, 2011, 8:56 pm

My mom made me a Bucilla stocking nearly 30 years ago, and it still hangs on her mantle every year. She inspired me to make my niece’s last year, and I’m making my nephew’s this year. I’ve ordered one for my husband this year and will work on it next year.

I love that I can choose a stocking that matches the person’s personality. It just makes it that extra special! I love and am addicted to these things!

  • Brenda November 29, 2011, 12:48 am

I love your kits and I have tweeted and liked and shared on facebook

  • Vera November 29, 2011, 3:32 am

Thank you for making these still available. I made my first for my first born in 1973! I am finishing ‘Santa’s list’ for my newest Grandson!!! I have made one for everyone in our family; children, their spouses, grandchildren and ours. I enjoy doing them! When I made my first one… I was so worried you wouldn’t be around for this to be a tradition! But, PTL! you are. Thank you! Have a Wonderful, Very Merry Christmas!!! God Bless!

  • Ann November 29, 2011, 3:35 am

In 1961 I made my first Bucilla Christmas stocking for my son who will soon turn 50 yrs. old. Since then I have made stockings for family and friends and presently have 35 in storage for future family members so they will think of GRANDMA at Christmas time. As I give away the stockings I have a policy to advise that they be used as decoration and not filled. One even went over seas with a nephew to Korea who was in the Army. I have 4 bins full of ornaments and give them as gifts, as well as for my trees. Yes I have 3 trees, that sparkle in the beautiful light. NO glue is involved and double strands of floss are used on each one. As it goes, with each project, it becomes my favorite and I am addicted! GO GRAMMA!

  • Leslie November 29, 2011, 8:02 am

I am always doing crafts. As the holidays get closer I always an on the hunt for bucilla crafts. I enjoy the ease with which these projects come together and my girls love to help too. I have been doing stocking kits for almost 10 years, have given many for gifts, but there are so many that I have kept to decorate my home with!

  • FELICIA November 29, 2011, 9:20 am

I love making these cute stockings, i’ve made two and am currently working on a wall decoration that says “snow” and has penguins hanging on it -I love penguins- the instructions are easy to follow, the pieces are labeled perfectly, these kits are so simple! If I win this kit I plan on giving it to me 12 year old, she’s been dying to make one! Good Luck everyone!

  • Sia November 29, 2011, 10:34 am

Love the kits. Made a couple stockings years ago, but have purchased 8 to make for my family. Just starting hope to have them all made next year at this time. The kids will love them.

  • Beth November 29, 2011, 10:48 am

I have completed 5 and I love the way they look and the reactions I get when I give them as gifts!!! The first one I made was with Santa sitting in front of a football game in his easy chair eating popcorn. I made this one for my son and my husband complained that it fit him better! LOL He has never really paid attention to my crafts until he saw that stocking.

  • Allison November 29, 2011, 1:25 pm

Make them with my grandma (i.e. probably close to 8). Great memories, tons of fun, absolutely amazing when finished. Priceless!!

  • Diana November 29, 2011, 2:46 pm

Love these kits. They are so easy to use. I am making a stocking for everyone in my family.

  • Kay B November 29, 2011, 4:25 pm

I have not made any kits yet- my Grandma made my brothers and I stockings when we were born and I would love to make them for my children. I am not very crafty so I hope they are not too difficult!

  • Delene November 30, 2011, 9:36 am

I have 3 of your stockings kits but haven’t started any yet as I have had a daughter’s wedding. I am hoping to start them in the new year so they are ready well in time for christmas next year. I think the kits are fantastic and cant wait to buy more.

Hi. It is Christmas when the sequins come out. This year the whole family is being blessed with new stockings thanks to my daughter, Chris, who is taking recovery time to stitch away. She carries on the tradition of stocking making with sequins from me and my grandmother! Bucilla kits are the best ones!

  • Rhonda December 3, 2011, 7:35 pm

I have made 3 stockings for my kids and 1 pillow for myself. I have one kit in waiting for any grandkids I might have some day. I like them because they can be pesonlized to the reciever as well as the giver.

  • Tiffany December 3, 2011, 7:55 pm

My mom made me a Bucilla stocking to have for my 1st Christmas (I was only 2 weeks old.) She finished it on Christmas Eve. This year I have continued the tradition and made one for each of my children and husband. I saved mine for last, so it looks as though I will still be working on my stocking Christmas Eve. I guess that means the tradition will truly be fulfilled. I have never been a “crafty” person until now. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing these stockings come to life. So much so, that I would like to continue making these beautiful stockings for other loved ones. The amount of detail is amazing, and the finished product is without a doubt something my family will cherish for the years to come!

  • Viviana December 3, 2011, 7:56 pm

Merry Christmas to all!!…thanks to Bucilla’s beautiful stocking designs, not to mention that they give your home an extra special warm Christmas impression that lasts through out these holiday season…I’ve enjoyed making 5 different stocking for the people I care about…and would like to make one for me this time.

  • Cindy December 4, 2011, 12:12 am

I’ve made two of the kits for my two children – over 30 years ago! They’ve really held up well and we all look forward to bringing them out each Christmas time – and whadda ya know? Santa still fills them up every year! I’m now looking forward to making two more for my two grandchildren (hopefully, more than that)!! I remember really enjoying the process of making these stockings and and do look forward to getting back to the Bucilla stocking kits! 😀

P.S. Actually, I have to make THREE more – my daughter-in-law wants one, too! 😀

  • Markie Sue December 4, 2011, 1:14 am

The details on them are just absolutly stunning! These stockings are definatly good keepsakes for when my children get older. They aren’t just your average stocking either.

  • Stacy Whitmore December 4, 2011, 3:18 am

I have made one of these for each of my five chilren ranging in age from 27 to 3 in the year they were born. I have 2 new grandaughters and a brand new grandson that I need to make stockings for. It has sort of become a tradition for me to make stockings for all the kids the year they are born. I am going to have to get crazy busy to get the stocking done for my grandchildren before Christmas this year. I would love to win a stocking. Thank you for having this contest.

  • Sharon Baker December 4, 2011, 3:31 am

The first stocking I made was 25 years ago for my son’s 1st Christmas. He’s married now, but his stocking still gets hung at my home. I guess I should make him one for his house. I can’t even begin to count the number of stockings I have made over the years. I usually make them to give as a baby shower gift or for baby’s 1st Christms. It’s a priceless heirloom!!

  • Brenda Redding December 4, 2011, 4:29 am

I have never heard of these stockings until now…They are beautiful and would love to have one to give to my grand daughter.

  • Victoria Powell December 4, 2011, 7:59 am

I made “Noah’s Ark” for my grandson, Dylan eleven years ago. He still asks how gramma made all the little animals. It is still hung by the chimney with care every year without fail!!

  • Donna December 4, 2011, 12:37 pm

A dear friend made stockings for her family and they are beautiful. I have wanted to start this tradition for my family as well. They are extremely detailed and I know my family would love them for so many years. Maybe it would be the start of another “Family Christmas Tradition.”

  • Tina December 4, 2011, 1:10 pm

  • Tressie Lawson December 4, 2011, 7:14 pm

I would love to win the Bucilla stocking kit! These stockings remind me of the stocking my step grandmother made for me, my brother and sister. I love my stocking and it’s one of the most memorable Christmas decorations I have! I’d love to start a tradition with my daughter and make one for her!

Directions are easy to follow and they always turn out great
